I found these wonderful doll size treasures at Rosie's Too doll shop in Bellevue, WA a few days ago... I do so love the older quilts that were handpieced and handquilted... and was thrilled to get this Texas Star doll quilt...

This one appears to be from the 1940's... all solid colors

The handwork could have been made by a child...

Handpieced blocks, using very old fabrics..

the other end of previous quilt top pictures...

This will make a cute Brownie ...needs to be colored in, then cut out and stitched and stuffed... Aprox. date around 1920-1930's...

see, the two points on the top right are different from the other star points... but we just LOVE that star quilt anyway. we should take a lesson and not sweat that some of our quilts have the same [mistakes/differences] :) what nice acquisitions.

Wonderful!!

I wonder if people will call our wall quilts made now "doll quilts" when rediscovered 50-75 years from now? I'd rather think of them as doll quilts, not sure why but I have never liked the term 'wall hangings/wall quilts', even though i do have some hanging in my house.

Sure like yours!
