I am having trouble tyring to figure out if I want to free motion this on my frame or just do a stitch in the ditch. If I free motion, I am afraid it might take away from the quilt. Plus I am not that good at FMQing yet lol

How would you quilt this? This is a surprise wall hanging for my MIL for Christmas.

stitch around the pictures. Then if you have a decorative stitch on your machine use it down the light strip. See if there are other decorative stitches you could use.

Stitch in the ditch around the frames of the pictures. Meander in the background. Don't quilt over the faces. Maybe some feathers around the Love, Faith, Hope and in the light border on top and below the pictures? Piano keys in the border. I'd print it out and draw around it first to audition.

Fabulous memory quilt. I have no idea as to quilting. Maybe some outlining the letters and SID around photos. I'm a chicken and would play it safe.....that just me. :)

I just used the "faggoting " stitch on my machine around the seams instead of SID. I figured I wouldn't get that perfectly straight! The faggoting stitch actually looks quite nice, maybe yiu could try that around your pictures. I think your wallhanging is really extra nice!

very vvery pretty aan I would say sid the pics nad then to outling by 1/4" the printed words and echo them a few times or all the way out to the edges of the brown frame. Maybe some scallops in the outer boreder to complement all the straight lines.
