    I made this baby quilt for my friend who has a new granddaughter who is currently living with her. Made totally from scraps and from my stash!

    I agree. I also like that effect of cutting the diagonals and inserting the strip of white fabric. Really different and quite appealing.

    I'll third that on the border and coordinating fabric ... and will second FF's comments on the pattern choice.
    Sometimes simple is what makes for a great quilt.
