I think I would do a border the same color as the sashing.

I am making k hot pads for my family reunion. This is a fun way to make something the same yet different. I really look at fabric differently. The designs are endless. Thank you for sharing and giving new ideas to others. Great job!

I am always intrigued with these...have made a few and they come out so differently. Yours is very pretty! Bright and cherry.
