Default Happy Scrappy

I got a new Accuquilt die that cuts rectangles 2 3/4 X 5. S, I cut all the scraps in my basket that would fit. I have to admit it took a lot less time than the smaller die I had been using. It made 9 inch blocks and I added 3 inch sashing all around. I added a strip of blocks sewn end to end. The quilt made finished at 70 x 103 and I was not happy about it being too narrow. I had a pile of finished scrappy blocks that were ready for a new project, these are smaller scale rectangles using the other die. The blocks were 12 inches square, so I added them to width and it came out the perfect size. It is now 93 1/2 by 103, it is on a queen sized bed. It still needs to go out for LAQ. I'm ponderering using bubbles or round shapes for the quilting and of course, the thread will be variegated. The quilting is going to really show up on the light sashing. I like how each scrappy has its own personality. This one looks cheerful.
