Oh WOW! That is beautiful. I can hardly wait to see what you dad does with it. I'll want close-ups on that one.
Wonderful job there.

I love your log cabin, but I don't do them. I do a couple blocks and they look wonky, so they make nice pot holders :D

I love that star! What a great way to get a star quilt without making a star. I personally love it, and while I've got a quilt sized "star" planned into one of my upcomming projects it's not a long cabin. Very nice layout and colors! :D

I LOVE log cabins! What makes you not like them? I love the sort of snail trail block mixed in. Just a wow factor going on here! Please show us the quilting when you get it back.

Does you dad need more quilt tops to work on? If he ever gets bored, let me know.

Your quilt is beautiful!!
I love log cabin quilts. What is it that you don't like about them? My daughter likes how they look, but finds them very boring to make. I think they go together so quickly that you don't have time to get bored. :D :D

Ahh suks... I just can't take all these compliments.. :D just keep them coming.... 8)

Okay the reason I don't like log cabins is they do look all whopper jawed!!! I was told I need to square the block up everytime it maks a square block...yek....and this log cabin is made from one inch strips...that makes 19 strips in one of those blocks...AND the first time I did a log cabin I put a strip on the wrong side and didn't catch it till the entire block was done....NOW we all know why I don't like log cabin blocks..... :XD: :XD:

These are gorgeous! How nice to have a dad who quilts. I'm jealous! He will definitely be set for retirement. Could probably do pretty well at it for an extra source of income.
