I'll try and do the tute on Monday - I want Hans to help me with resizing the photos and he's hunting today! :-D
I have been thinking of other block possibilities for this method - so far I came up with log cabin, crazy, square in a square, rail fence, warm wishes... there must be a zillion more! It wouldn't replace the traditional way entirely - it's just a fun alternative. Nice to ring the changes from time to time. I want to experiment with doing it without sashing as well for blocks like log cabin where you want the secondary pattern. I'll play today! :-D

Patti - I don't know if you could quilt over the finished piece - might make it kind of stiff  As you piece the blocks, you 'quilt' them at the same time.
Ruth - my blocks are 61/2" unfinished. :-D

That is absolutely beautiful! I have always wanted to try QAYG method, but I'm incredibly intimidated. It seems like the things that come up on a google search are either too complicated or the instructions are incomplete. I need specific instructions start to finish if I can't watch someone do it.
I would love a tute!
