I only have one side left to do. I might have this top finished by tomorrow evening. Now I have to decide how I am going to quilt it. My machine quilting skills are fair to middlin'. I was thinking of doing an all-over free motion design with stars. Any ideas on thread color? Should I just use a neutral color or varigated, or blue????

Love it-you are doing a great job. I vote for neutral thread. I think the quilt is colorful enough and variegated may detract from your design--but, what do I know-I send my quilts out to be quilted because I cannot make any decisions about quilting!

I really love it! Is that your own design. I'm very partial to the log cabin block and yours are excellent.

Cissy, that is really pretty. I love the quilting part best of all. On this one, I'd go with a neutral thread though because the piecing is just soo good that you don't want to distract anyone from that part. Can't wait to see what you do with it

Thank you! I think I am going to go that route with the quilting. A few others have suggested the same. I bought some 'white linen' colored thread today and am planning to do an all over meander with stars. I'm actually nervous about quilting this. My piecing skills are much better than my quilting skills. Wish me luck!

Thanks, Melissa. I honestly don't expect to win any ribbons. Although it would be awesome if I did. But I saw the competition last year and I just want to get my feet wet in the contest department. Thanks again for all of your kind words.
