I vote #2
It pulls the eye through the block.
I like it a lot.

Thanks everyone. I like 2 better and my DH likes 1 better. I have 10 for number 2, 2 for number 1 and one nuetual. Hmmmmmm

No-one thinks I could put them on the same runner? Like 2 of 1 on the ends and 2 in the center, or 2 of 2 on the ends and 1 in the center. Or would that really be too much?

If it's a runner with about 3-4 blocks, I would choose the first. Both are lovely! :)

Is it possible to lay it out and let us see?

I only have the two so far. I could lay out two more I guess. The squares are two inches. This it the mystery runner we did over in Links. I saw Aggi's block before I caught up.. Hee Hee. Maybe I will put them together. But someone mentioned if it is for a runner to do 1. Maybe 2 ist too bright for a runner?

I hate to go against the grain..... but I love number 1. How about do both, three blocks, two one way on the ends and the middlen block can be the opposit.. just a thought. I wonder how would that look?
