Smile Her first quilt

Well my granddaughter (13) just finished her first quilt, done with a little help and advice but otherwise 90% done by herself. 😀 I had the flannel fabric in my stash for quite some time and the backing is fleecy stretch fabric. To stabilise the lot instead of wadding we put a piece of sheet. Done it before and I find it works great when you quilt, nothing shifts 👍
She’s so proud of herself ❤️ Thanks for looking and have a great weekend !!!

I love it. You are so lucky to have a sewing partner.

Pretty little quilt! Lucky granddaughter to have you around to help her! Can't get my granddaughter to sew with me.

Interesting use of the pool noodles!
It's rewarding to see the young generation sharing in the hobbies/skills of our own. You are making good memories with her.

She did well!!! So nice when they show an interest. Even if it is something that happens once, it's a treasured memory nonetheless. Happy Sewing!

I think her quilt is fabulous!! She did a great job and is very conscientious of all the details. You should be so proud of this pretty, talented young lady grandma!! I hope the first quilt of many to come. A sweet bond for the 2 of you. Thanks for sharing.
