Default Rose of Sharon in the Cabin

Ok, here it is. I started it in Sept 2011 and have worked on it pretty consistently ever since. I don't think I'll be able to get the entire quilt into a photo once the borders and sashing are done. It is now 91x91. It will be 110 x 98 when complete. A log cabin border around 3 sides and a bit more sashing will be added. It is hand appliqued, hand quilted then put together Quilt as you go.

What a beautiful quilt!!! That is a lot of applique stitches. I would be very happy to be able to make a quilt like you have created.

Breathtaking! I too would like to know your source for all the Rose of Sharon applique designs, please let us know. Doing it in batiks really ups the wow factor of this beautiful quilt.

dunster they are mostly from the Rose of Sharon Block Book by Sharon Pederson, I got a couple from the Rose of Sharon block challenge on this board, and a couple from 100 block magazines but I'm not sure which ones made it into the final cut. I used a couple to practice quilting on. I have enjoyed this project more than anything I have ever quilted.
