Quilt shows can be discouraging to quilters. I like the small town quilt shows the best. They have quilts that normal people make for the most part. It is fun to go to the big shows where the professionals show their quilts, just keep in mind that many are professionals with some from "normal" quilters among them. They started somewhere. The great thing is that a quilt doesn't have to be the hardest pattern to be beautiful or appreciated.
