I had to remove the basting stitches to get them out. The ones I got had a score down the middle so they could be folded in half for half hexies. So the templates had some give. The ones around the outside edges came out without removing basting stitches but I removed them anyway. I needed the seam allowance to do the birthing method.

Very nice! I think your DSM skills are very good. Sounds like you like your LA much better. I don't have a LA but hope to someday. My machine does have a nice size harp though that makes it a little easier but not like a LA. Great job!
