it is cute- looks like it came from the book "Puzzle Balls" by Jenny Beyer- there are a number of great fabric balls in the book to choose from- we've been using the book for years to teach the young kids to hand sew (Scouts, 4-H, preschool, elementary) it is a fun project - make great hacky-sacks, pin cushions, toys, ornaments... fun, fun. when we made pin cushions I used a canning jar ring for a base-so the cushion would not roll all over the table.
