Thanks for your comment. For the edging I bought some crochet binding, it looks quilt lacy. I did machine stitch the oval onto the quilt, but wanted something to hid the stitching, and it worked a treat.

Cute quilt! The brown batik "hair" looks real enough and, of course, the tartan heart is adorable. You also taught me something....I'd never heard of a highland cow! lol

Very cute. My DH boss has a couple of highland cows. We call them yak cows because I think they look more like yaks than cows.
