This is gorgeous ! In fact when I was a little girl my granma would put several layers of quilts on me ( very cold in the mountains of Pa !) and we'd laugh cause I could barely get them up enough to get out of bed !!! Sweet memories. Yes your quilt is gorgeous and took me back to fond thoughts, thank you.

Tea dying is a WONDERFUL idea. One of the gals in my quilting group was making a quilt and one of the fabrics seemed to stick out because the colors were brighter. She tea dyed by just brewing some tea quite strong and soaking the fabric in it. It really did the trick!

Yes, that works great. I crocheted a large tablecloth over a 9 year period, and some motifs were a different color than others. I tea-dyed it twice with strong tea, rinsed well, and you can't tell one from the next.

The plaid quilt (although nice) in the background distorts your colors, too. I think it's going to be a great quilt! IMHO I'm thinking a dark brown border all around would frame it nicely. Is it going to be a charm quilt or just scrappy?

I love the colors nd agree tea dyed may do the trick for you, but if not it will be beautiful.
