[quote=laurlync]After reading posts on here about turning your sewing machine sideways to quilt, I decided to build my own quilting table from wood and fabric scraps I had around the house. I used a piece of 1/2 inch plywood which I cut 16 inches

How did the final quilt turn out and can we see it? Thanks!

Thanks so much for sharing! That is fantastic!!! I like that your table is versatile and portable as well. I showed your handy work to my handyman husband. He was most impressed! Smart girl!!!

WOW...this is such a great idea! I will have to show this to my DH, maybe I can motivate him....I could argue that this would be much cheaper than a long-arm and would work great...lol...he may just goes for it  ......Thank you for sharing!!! What a neat idea!!

I can do that!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my goodness! I NEED one of those. You described it so well that I could relate to what you were doing (would love if you had step by step pictures and posted them) and the way you photographed the final table shows me precisely what you meant. (I am friends with the tools and toys in the garage.!) It is now on my list.
