That sounds good. I wouldn't change much. It's a great quilt for a girl.

I think a lighter color instead of the black bone print , maybe light green and a small insert of some lace might make it a little more feminine. it sure is cute.

I love the idea of red blocks in the corners and a red ruffle would be awesomely fantastic for the finish.
That is some great fabric and they are gonna go ga-ga for this quilt! :-D

I can't think of any reason that wouldn't work for a girl. Go for it.

I think the idea of using some red jumbo ric rac would be fabulous. It would definitely make the quilt softer looking for a girl. The quilt top is adorable!

What about some red prairie points and red binding?

I think a little girl would love it.

I think it's great the way it is. Girl or boy. Both love animals.

I like it just as is, adding the red corner blocks. I might put a caterpillar binding on this quilt ...... probably in red flannel.

Wrap it in pink gift wrap? I love it the way it is!! The rick rack will look nice--but for what her parents do it just can't get any more perfect. It's adorable!! They will be tickled to see that!!
