I like the idea of the feathers in the log cabin. Your quilt is awesome. Beautiful.

ditto to mamaw! I believe echo quilting around the applique would look great with a horizontal wave quilting over the logs, but I would look at photos for inspiration and ideas first if you're not sure now. It's downright gorgeous and love the floral backing!

Are you going to do it yourself on your home machine, or send it out to a longarm quilter? Feathers would look very nice. Yes, look at other log cabin quilts to see how quilting is done, see what you like or dislike and go from there.

I agree with Dragonfly Nana in that a rambling vine would be wonderful in the dark part of the log cabin.
