I finally had to baste the satin binding on and then machine zigzag all the way around. Then I hand whip stitched the mitered corners. Hope this helps.

Absolutely beautiful. Congrats! I admire anybody who does hand embroidery. IMHO, it adds a personal touch to anything it's on. The bibs are adorable. Thanks for sharing.
