My mom sometimes buys fabric she likes and gives it to me. I also listen when she comments on things I've made, so I know what she wishes for. Her 77th birthday is coming up, so this is part one of her birthday gift. She's also getting a fancy apron to wear when she gives teas, but that's still in the works. I made the mini bow tucks bag out of fabric she gave me, and made the pocket special with subtly colored embroidery. I made this today instead of substitute teaching. It was nice to be home!
