My mom had a friend that she went thru nursing school with and they kept in contact constantly. She had moved back to Newfoundland and mom always said we were going to visit her, but never did. I had met the lady many times when she came "south" to visit family and so wished we had gone to her home.
But, Mamagus...stay where you are and I'll come visit!!
Once I get off this "pebble" and back to the states, hubby is either going to be joining me for road trips or he's going to have to have a picture of me to remind him what I look like!!
We certainly do have pack ice and icebergs well into July some years.

Do you know what part of Newfoundland your Mom's friend was from?

You are most certainly welcome to come visit me! We can enjoy the icebergs together!

What I hate most about spring snows is the mud that comes after. Fortunately we are not expecting any - just a low in the 30's during the week. About to go get 40 bags of mulch - already spread 25 yesterday. I also love garden pictures.

With the beautiful view you have, sit back, cup o tea in hand, loved ones by your side and enjoy. Just beautiful, right?

We could go to either WA State, VA, CA, GA or CT.
I told the man that CA was definitely out. Sorry to all you people who live and love it there.
I wouldn't mind WA, since I have never really been there. Visited there for 2 days, which wasn't long enough for me.
I'm kinda hoping for VA, since it's in the middle of the east coast and most of my friends and family are either north or south of that.
Then, there's the chance that the billet in Singapore might open for hubby. That wouldn't be bad, as I loved Singapore when I visited for a week and would love to go back. But, with that said....I REALLY want to go back to the mainland US. I want to be able to drive across state lines, and drive for more than an hour and not end up back where I started. Driving in circles on islands are making me dizzy.

You make me laugh... go to VA. Then you're in driving distance for me. PA is similar to VA but we have mountains and snow. I love to vacation in VA. I'm tired of Porchville. :)

I'm really actually hoping for VA, but GA or CT are good too.

*edit...I'm brain-farting today! UGH!
