Thanks y'all. Raynhamquilter, I used 11 fabrics counting the sashing.
I am practicing on a quilt sandwich right now, not feeling very confident about quilting it yet. I just talked to a lady who does machine quilting and she said she can do it for approximately $50.00 to $75.00 depending on the pattern I choose. I really would like to do it myself, but I have never quilted one, nor do I know how to baste a quilt for quilting. I have read on here about how to do it, but when it omes to doing it, nope never done it and not sure where to start. So for that price I think I will let her do it. I will do the next one. Unless I gain a lot of confidence this afternoon. I sure don't want to mess this quilt up.

Beautiful quilt. I would stitch in a ditch.

Great job! It's an awesome feeling when you finish that very first one!

Its a beautiful quilt, great colors!!!!! Maybe a huge stippling pattern would be nice, stitch in the ditch is good, stippling is just prettier to me. I dont have alot of experience myself, Ive done both on a quilt with blocks too.

Great job! I'm not confident enough to quilt my own stuff either. I send it out so it's easier on my nerves!

Lovely! I'm making a string quilt right now with the very same fabrics. I love them! Congratulations!

Your quilt is beautiful ~ you did a great job on it! Good luck with getting it quilted - whether you decide to have it done or give it a try yourself!

Congratulations! Awesome job even if it is your first. I'm sure there will be many more.
