I agree with Chele. I like how you framed each block before sashing. That is one cheerful quilt. You must feel so proud. I'm sure that was a lot of work. Good job Izy! :)

Thanks everyone for your lovely comments...you are so encouraging!!

The blocks are 6" with the coloured border, this is only my second pieced top and I can tell you it gave me some grief trying to match up all those squares....alot of them are wonky even though every one was squared up with a 6" template before I added those coloured borders...well all in all I am pleased with the overall effect and I am sure when it is quilted your 'eye' wont be drawn along the lines so much...well I hope so :lol:

I have pinned and microtacked it this evening, and decided on a lovely soft fine fleece for the backing, so tomorrow at the guild day, I can get on with the quilting!! :D

beautiful quilt. i think i may have to try this.
i especially like how you framed each block before adding sashing. really sets it off. just the perfect finishing touch.
