Default I finally finished something!!

I'm a great starter...not so great at finishing things!! I decided that I would make my best friend a quilt for Christmas. I knew what I wanted to make (Pinterest has my head full of ideas), and had the yardage to make it before Thanksgiving. I sat down and forced myself to actually MAKE it this morning. I was surprised at how quickly I got it done (2.5 hours!!) once I made up my mind. So, here it is...without the binding. I'm kind of proud since this is the first thing I have machine quilted myself. (It's supposed to look like a carved tree on one side, tree bark on the reverse...)

How simple and beautiful. From the heart. Your friend will treasure it

You can't see in the photo, but, I embroidered our initials in the heart. Cheesy, but, sentimental. Thanks for looking!
