That is a really cool idea! I haven't made any holilday quilts because I hate to go to all the work and then have them in storage for 11 months of the year.. If I backed a christmas quilt with a Winter quilt, I could use it all winter by just turning it over. Then I could do a lighter weight quilt with summer and fall and use it the rest of the year! You are brilliant!

I think it is a really neat idea to do a reversible quilt! I can imagine getting a two sided binding on would be challenge. I expect she will love it especially since she can use it all year long.
