How about a border on inch in size in the beautiful butterfly yellow, with a wider border in a lighter black color. Is there such a thing as lighter black

Can't remember where I saw it but I did see a beautiful black material with all different, all sizes, bright butterflies flying around on it. I think it would make a nice "frame". Your quilt is gorgeous. I really like your sashing material.

Is there a waiting list for your quilts? Please add my name to that list (LOL)

I love B & W quilts, but I think your butterflies are brilliant! I think the idea of vines/plants in the corner would be interesting.

I am so sorry to hear about your inspector.

It is lovely. The butterflies add a bit of whimsy that comes out fantastic. Congratualtions. See, you never know when to expect that jolt of inspiration.

Thank you everyone. :-)

Our littlest inspector left a really big hole. They're all special, the ones that come through our place, but some seem to take a bigger chunk of our hearts when they go.

I got some fabric for the border.... there *are* shades of black. :-) Depending on the scale of the white pattern, they can give a very different look. I've picked one that's very similar to several of the fabrics used in the blocks, it goes perfectly. And will be doing vines and leaves and maybe a flower or two in the bottom left, and top right corners.

I can't wait to get it finished!

And this has definitely set me off in a creative way again... given me faith in what I'm doing and the pictures I have in my head.

:-)

I love it Blue! I can just imagine how your were flying around your sewing room...well...flitting just like a butterfly! Can't wait to see the finished product.

So sorry about your littlest though....They all do leave a hole.
