I have to share! I had drawn out a block that I had randomly saw on the computer. Then went to my LQS for ideas how to make this one block an entire quilt. Here's what I am going to be working on. I LOVE IT! >

It looks really great. I love oversized blocks because I love to quilt and it gives me space to quilt in.

this is how the carpenter's wheel is done..it is really one block, but then one day somebody said, HEY, that would make a great quilt..very little cutting, and if you do it Debbie Maddy's way, there are NO "Y" seams either...

I designed a bunch of "big block baby quilts" doing the same thing...what was a 12" block became a 40" baby quilt!

Have fun with it and be sure to post pix!

Have my fabric cut and laying out and am wishing I would have made it larger. How do you think a piano key would look after another brown border or something like this to make it larger....

By the way, overlook the floor. That is to my new bedroom and the floor is unfinished right now. (getting ready to lay carpet-perfect space for laying out fabric. ;) )

These are 5 1/2" unfinished squares. There will be a 2" brown border then a 6 " orange plaid border then the binding will be brown.
