Default I love days off when I can sew! My BIG and LITTLE Bags!

I spent the holiday in my sewing room today... hooray!

Made the BIG tote bag that someone here posted about; it's a free pattern from Pellon, made from jelly roll strips:

http://www.pellonprojects.com/projec...type&type=bags

I used some Curious George fabric (leftover from making nurse's scrubs for my sister-in-law) and a coordinating stripe that came from who-knows-where! This bag is absolutely HUGE!

Then I made two little thread catcher bags from this pattern:

I will keep one of them, and donate one for my sewing group's door prize in September.

All in all, a great and productive day!!

I saw that huge bag when it was originally posted too - love your version! The little thread-catcher bags are a great idea for a door prize too.

Can't think of anything better to do on a day off! I have been sewing also, working on bunting for my granddaughter's 6th B-day party next weekend. Having so much fun! Love your bag and thread catchers!!

Beautiful bags. I sewed most of this weekend. Glad to get back to work tomorrow, so I can rest up.
