That was my thought. For some reason "morning star" came to my mind immediately. Not sure why.

Thank you for your kind words. I'm not sure about your question. Are you talking about the black diamonds at the tip of the star? Those aren't quilted at all.

Actually, that's pretty much what she said. She tried several things that she didn't like and took all of her stitching out. She just couldn't make up her mind what would look the best. She finally finished it when I gave her one more week, finished or not. She offered it to me for free, but I paid her for it anyway. The quilting is lovely.

This is a really wonderful quilt. I think I might call it Autumn Glow. But the name is really unimp[ortant. Your choice of fabrics is certainly not what I would have selcted forthis, but it works stunningly. Good for you.
