I like it too! don't fret too much over it. I lost my cat of 17 years and it took me years to finish the top i made to honor him. i finally did finish it and am very happy.
so keep going.it looks great. I like it because it is different.

Have you thought about an attic windows approach? Two sides on shadow with diagonal corners? Don't know if that would do it but the only suggestion I have at the moment. What a beautiful girl! I love my kitties and hate it when they depart.
