I shouldn't have...but I did.

I shouldn't have started this as I have so many other things started, but I needed something to do downstairs as it's too hot and humid to work on in the attic (where my sewing area is). So I bit the bullet and started a GFG that is on my bucket list that I had planned on machine sewing so I would finish it eventually. But I rather like hand piecing as it seems more authentic, especially with this pattern.
My hexagons sides are 1 3/4 so I actually finish the queen size I want to make. Each one is going to have 2 rows of "petals" and then a row of green for leaves with white paths between them. I think. right now, I'm consentrating on getting the flowers done. But I did 2 today and was working on one while my brother was in the orthadontist and the one guy waiting for his son asked if I was making a quilt. I said yes and he said it was going to be very pretty and worth the effort.

the blue isn't nearly as bright, but I'm still deciding on my second row.
