I started out to make a Fons and Porter quilt called "jewel of the prairie" I was going to use juvinile prints and give it to my 4 yo grandson. I got so caught up in "oh this is cute, he'll like this one, and this color goes well with this one" I forgot all about my placements of lights and darks but in a few places you can see a bit of a "trail". I just told him that it's an I spy quilt, and of course he loves it.

I absolutely love it. Great! It is definitely a fun quilt! I can see how you could get carried away while making it!

Kathy, do you suppose this is why your other quilt "colors seem drab to me now"? Wow! What a difference between the two quilts. Could be why!
