Default I think I am succeeding

So I just finished the second round of blocks for my mariner's star. I definitely have achieved matching seams for most of the blocks and I am happy that I've improved my curved seam, albeit there it still isn't at the level I want it to be. I have one little area that I think is a small problem. Nevertheless, in general I'm really happy with the results so far!

Thanks for looking!

No I'm using templates and following what I learned in the book Mastering Precision Piecing by Sally Collins.

What is the fabric with lines behind your quilt? Will you be using it to block your quilt when you're done? I love your blocks and the colors.
