I'm doing 2 friendship star quilts one in corduroy and the other in cotton. I had to make 84 retangles to turn into half square triangles, So I desided to do all of them at one time. After i had them finished I made one block for each quilt. Believe or not the corduroy one went together much easier the the cotton one. Well anyway here is the pick of the first block of both quilts

OOOOoooohhhh! Nice! I have a bunch of corduroy I have been saving and I think you have planted a seed in my brain! I had wondered if it would be hard to work with and now I am encouraged!

Ceanna:
I bet the placement of the cordaroy blocks is a nightmare...if they are upside down you'd have a light/dark or shiny/dull effect because of the way cordaroy is woven??? I want to say this is called 1 way fabric but I think that term is used for printed fabric where the design is all going one way...don't remember (HATE Senior Moments) what the term is for the look you get on cord or velvet if all pieces aren't cut out and arranged the same. Good job.

Its called nap
Actually It worked out without thinking about it all the green is going in the horozantal direction with the nap going towards the right and the black cord is going verticlely with the nap going down. But then again the light and dark effect of the nap going differnt ways might not look that bad Like giving the quilt life lol

Thank you...NAP is the word I NOW remember...with your reminder, the Senior Moment has passed!

Glad the NAP didn't cause you undue stress.
