This is a beautiful quilt. It could be made in so many different color combinations, even a baby quilt. The stars are offset enough to give it character. Wonderful.

That is beautiful! Looks like it could be done with charm squares!

Thanks. Knew it looked familiar.

Looks great, Jennifer.

I'm thinking it's just squares and the"points" are made like half of a snowball block. Just place a small white square on each of two corners; sew diagonally from edge to edge and trim the excess below. Then match four of those with a plain solid white square and you get those "star-points". How simple... I like it! and a great beginner quilt with lost of pizzazz!

It looks like a charm pack, which is 5 inch squares. Add white 5 inch squares for the star centers, and then sew 2 1/2 inch squares on two sides of adjacent squares, right sides together. Sew with a diagonal seam. Fold back the white square & trim the back.
This is actually mine. I just used charm packs and sewed 2 3/4inches squares on the corners. If you use 2 1/2 squares the points match up. If you zoom in you'll see that my first star blocks are off at the points. There wasn't a pattern. I seen a charm pack quilt on the board that kwhite did and just copied.
Great work even without a pattern. I also think you could probably do any size corner squares to give it a very funky variable look. The points would then be haphazard in sizes... could be interesting!
