I have an 11" one and it's great for mini quilts and doll quilts.

Oh I'm drooling over it myself! Congrats to your sister...maybe if you drop a few hints, Santa might bring you one, you never know!
Regards,

I got mine at a flea market years ago when they first came out. Think I paid $55 for it. Also got the smaller ones. i did my first hand quilting on it and loved it for its size and convenience. I now have a full frame for my sewing machine and don't do hand quilting anymore. Too slow for me and arthritis is creeping in. So many quilters have gone to machine work that I can't sell mine at any price.

This is great. I am glad that you are enjoying it. My sister at church gave me one that she bought in a thrift shop for...$3.00, that's right three whole dollars. It was brand new in the box. I have not used it yet becasue I usually quilts by machine, but I have been challenged to start hand quilting by a 90 year old quilter.

You might check Joanns online. They have a sale going on, plus coupons available (if you need one, let me know and I'll forward my e-mail from them to you).

i'd also recommend you make your own. that way you can make it exactly the right size for you. at the wrong height, a frame like that could be really hard on your neck and back.
