I need some suggestion on pattern for these birds and what colors was thinking stars with flying geese borders?

How big are the bird squares? If they are smaller, making them the center of stars would be pretty. I like the idea of the flying geese sashings!

I'm thinking some brown and tan would be good colors for the flying geese since both those colors go with flowers/trees. You want to the birds and colors of the flowers to stand out, so some muted colors would work well. That's my two cents!! :D

Thanks was thinking making the star points in a nice peach and off white background color.
