I want to thank everyone for their wonderful comments on my quilt. You know, I just have always wanted to do the "Irish Chain" pattern and when I saw this one, I had to make it. I hand quilted it and hand stitched all the yo-yo's and leaves on. I use a
round hoop frame, set it upon my bed, which is on risers, pull up a chair and it's the right height for me to quilt.
I suggest if one were to make this quilt, that one should machine applique the yo-yo's on before sewing the blocks together. Duh! You learn from experience. LOL

This is beautiful. I absolutely love the colors.
I started making yo yo's last summer using vintage prints. Going to make a quilt...(right) I have around 100 done and haven't sewn another. I was excited to see this thinking...oh..great use for my yo-yo's. Went to Fons & Porter to purchase the pattern. It is only available if you subscribe to the magazine...Grrr....
