This is for my friend, Kris, on her 65th birthday. She loves green and is so proud of her Irish heritage. She even made me dig up some dirt when we were in Ireland together. She wanted to sprinkle it on her Dad's grave. Her quilt just HAD to be green.
I used a spray adhesive for sandwiching. I'm not sure if I like it or not. I wanted to try it out.
I did a decorative stitch to attach the binding. This was done as a scrappy quilt with greens I had in my stash. The pattern is from Nickel Quilts by Pat Speth.

Love it! My husband is 100% Irish and I would love to do a quilt for him and his sons. This might be the perfect pattern.

    You did a lovely job!

What a wonderful gift. She'll love it. By the way - I'll be 65 in Sept. and my favorite color is green too! :)
