BTW...I'm pretty sure this top belongs to Terri (but I'd be happy to take it from either one!), AND I LOVE how your Jane is shaping up on your design wall :D
Yes, that is MY center!
I LOVE IT!!

Blue, I dont have any of the floral, but I do have another geisha panel if that would help you any.

Nope, don't panic, I have a much better plan. Will take another day or so to finish, so will post photos when it's done. :)

I LOVE what you did with that center, Blue!!!!! I'm pretty sure Terri wouldn't want it, so just send it to me -- I'd claim it!!!!

I have the borders done and just have to sew onto your center, Blue.

Terri's is done and in the post.... and I've just tidied my room and realised I forgot to add in the butterfly fabric in case you want some more butterflys! If you think it needs some more, send me your addy and I'll chuck the fat quarter in the mail. It's a lovely burgundy colour covered in the gold butterflys, perfect for applique. I would be inclined to add just another couple spread over the quilt, but I am totally willing to admit that I may be a bit mad for butterflys and would quite happily put them all over every top I do! LOL

The Whole Quilt - the colours do match, I swear, I can't get them to photograph accurately

Hi Blue Chicken, love the quilt and the borders, I love cats and I think three is just right, uneven numbers are said to be much more visually interesting than even ones. Less has more power in the design if you know what I mean.

Gal

PS Where in Gods own do you reside, I do not see many quilters from NZ, only one or two.

I'm in Kapiti, an hour north of Wellington

:D 8-) :D

I made a quilt recently from a black and white block swap, and when I put them all together it just did nothing for me. So I got a fabric with large colourful butterflys on it, fussy cut them, and fused them on. It started with one or two..... and got rather carried away! LOL

The black and white quilt is here....

Since that photo I added a wide black and white border, and put a nice green vine with leaves in the bottom left corner, stretching halfway up one side and halfway along the bottom. It finished it off really nicely. It's still waiting to be quilted though! LOL

Hi BC waving to you from a frosty night on the Canterbury plains between the Waimak and Rakaia rivers.

Brrrrrrr...... it'll be cold down there! I grew up in Amberley, we used to go water skiing on the Waimak river. ;)

Much to old for water skiing these days ha ha!! Really liked your b/w quilt, had a sort of kiwi feel to it especially the fern. I thought the design was strong enough to hold its own without the butterflies IMHO.
