I bought 52 4" squares from one place, and 18 yards of batiks from another. That place sold it in 3 yard pieces. The two fabrics I bought 6 yards of will be shared with a teacher friend for a gift. She had a rough year with some boys in her class, AND she's just starting quilting about a year ago AND she doesn't have a stash started at all....so.... I've been telling her a very cool gift is on the way just to give her something to look forward to.

In the other photo of three fabrics--the purple fat quarter was sent to me for having a tip published on Graceful Creations. How cool is that? It's such a rich deep color. I added the other two pieces from my stash to make a French braided table runner.

Okay--what should I do with 52 4" squares? Table runner? :?:

The purple fat quarter I "won."

I LOVE your batiks!! And I am not even a batik collector-but those are gorgeous-what are you going to do with them? You are a sweetheart to gift fabric to the teacher-she will love you forever!!

You could do almost anything with the 4" squares...and your batiks are awesome! I always seem to gravitate to them when I'm in my local quilt shop...they are my 'comfort zone', but I'm trying to branch out from it. There are some really great designs out there! Congrats on your purchases!
