Thank you all so much for looking & commenting such nice things.
Surely is encouraging for other quilters to say nice things about something you have worked on.

For any of you wanting to do this quilt...only the first few blocks are daunting. Then you get in a rhythm of doing them & you begin to learn how to assemble them.

It is really not that hard--but I surely learned a lot of different piecing skills that serve me well today.

Thanks again for looking & commenting!

Oh my goodness. That is just an amazing piece of work! And to have pieced AND quilted it totally by hand is just beyond belief. Congrats on such an accomplishment.

Whoa.. a true heirloom in the making!
It's simply beautiful! I love hand-piecing
and hand-quilting. I do believe I will have to
add a 'Jane' to my to-do list! :D

Oh my, you have done a beautiful job. If you don't mind, I'm going to add this to the Jane Stickle Virtual Section on the board! Your work is stunning.

I absolutely understand how enjoyment of doing something (such as your hand piecing and quilting) makes it a joy rather than a chore. Nevertheless, you are so GOOD at it!!! Thank you so much for sharing your work with us.

I am always much more impressed when I see a fabulous quilt if it is something that I think might be in the realm of possibility for me to do. While I love to look at quilt show art quilts (scenes, etc.), knowing I would/could never do anything like that, I don't enjoy looking at those quite as much. (I hope that doesn't mean that I'm self-centered; I don't think I am???.)
