YYIIIPPPEEE!!!! I got home from Road to California this evening about 9:15, and DH says "you got a package today, and it's on your sewing machine". I rushed in, tore it open, and look what I got!!! A GORGEOUS little gem of a quilt from Sandpat, and guess what else.....bearded iris our my absolute FAVORITE flower!!! I have them all over my front yard, and my grandmother was a hybridizer in the 1950s in Burbank, CA. I have some of her bulbs of "antique" bearded iris. But isn't Patti's just beautiful??? And the little cute extras she included were just so sweet!! Wow!! I got it early this time. Thanks so much, Sandpat....this is a very special little quilt to me!! Janice

Utah is known as the beehive state and the beehive is our state symbol.

Here is the awesome quilt Bev (quiltease) sent me. She did an great job. Her state was MA and based her quilt around Boston. The overall design is the Massachusetts block. One corner has an applique shoe to represent the Boston Marathon, next to that is a chocolate chip cookie with embellishments to represent the 70th anniversary of Nestle Tollhouse cookies, then Ducks to represent the the bronze statues of ducklings in the public gardens, and then
Boston Baked Beans. She also sent Boston Baked Beans, a little ducky, and chocolate chips, oh and a picture of a Boston Terrier. I cannot tell you how excited I am to have received this. It is so gorgeous and thoughtful. I only wish I was able to make something as beautiful. THANK YOU Bev!!!!
P.S. Bev has received her quilt, but I want her to see it first, so I will let her post pictures when she is able to.

Here's the stunner I got from Faye today... the Kokopelli is appliqued on, and the feather fabric has metallic edging on each feather... SO PRETTY!!! Coincidentally, the Kokopelli is a symbol for a seed saving organization in Europe that a group I am associated with is working with, so it not only represents my Arizona quilting friend, but other parts of my life as well. Thank you so much, Faye!!!
