Here's the goodies I found in Fabric Town.....
The coaster was a pattern with fabric that I bought at the kimono shop that Panda took us to.
The coaster

This is an obi I bought when I went back to the kimono shop. Also some kimono fabric scraps that I bought the first time we went there.

This was some rolled fabric I saw and thought it was pretty. Funny thing...they won't open the packages so you can see how big the pieces are. But, I got them home and each piece is about 12" x 12"

These are about 18 inches square. Thought they were pretty.

This is a package of templates, I think. That's what it looked like. Also some marking pens (I'm always losing mine) and some varigated thread that was pretty.

This I bought at the gift shop at the hotel. It was a panel that was REALLY pretty, so I HAD to buy it.

No, I haven't posted pics of kimonos yet. Have to have Courtney model them.
Yes, we went back to the shop and the lady remembered us. They are all very nice in there. As we were leaving, the one lady who showed us how to make the coasters let us pick a keychain each. I thought that was very nice of her. All the ladies in that shop were very nice.

Yes, I got a couple short kimonos. I bought the obis because they were really pretty. Not sure what I'll do with them. In the gift store at the hotel, they made a decoration out of them. I might try doing that.

What will I do with the fabric? NO CLUE!

They actually sell toilet roll covers here like that! Not as pretty as the one at the kimono shop. That was a beautiful bathroom! :)

I'll settle for that - they'd make great little Chrissie Pressies, along with a bottle of wine to sit in them! I've got a FQ from mare stare with grapes on - that'd work, yes?! :D

The coaster looks like a boat.
I named it Navy coaster for Terri!! When it is made with Kimono fabric it would go cute with Japanese tea cups, but when it comes to go with American fabric that woud be cute with Coka Cola glass!!

We did have a great time.
Yes, the coasters do look like a boat and that's what I thought they were until the lady said what they were.
They are pretty easy to make.
I'll get pictures going so everyone can make them all. :)
