thank you everyone for your kind words.. i am really trying to teach myself new things, and yes along the way there are lots of mishaps.. but isn't that part of learning? the basic kimono design is a 9 block pieced pattern.. i added to it to make it bigger .. i searched the internet for things that inspired me,,happened to be the dragon fly and the chinese lantern. dont ask me why,, i see it, i like it,,i do it ! i sit for hours and look at what you ladies and gentlemen have done and the inspirations are flowing all the time. i am getting ready to try a new technique again so stay tuned,,(for months) lol.

I absolutely love it!!! That is one of the most awe inspiring quilts I've seen so far! I'm kinda partial to kimonos and geisha type people  It is really beautiful!!! Your hubby has a great eye, and you have great talent. Can't wait to see more of your work.

Lovely!!!! I keep adding to my stash of Oriental fabric but hate to cut it, I admire your resolve to present your husband with the gift for xmas.

Where did you get the pattern? It really is wonderful.
