my husband gave me material at xmas 2006 and i made it with very little knowledge and a whole lot of patience.. i then presented it to him xmas 2007.. boy was he surprised to see his fabric selections come to life.

wow Colleen! that is beautiful! i am so excited after seeing this. long story short, i'm working on an asian block-of-the-month for my daughter (adopted from Vietnam) and this would be perfect to coordinate with it! i can use the 'scraps'! i've just inquired via e-mail from my local quilt shop to see if they can get the pattern by Betty Blais.

That is just gorgeous. Are you going to make it a wall hanging? It is "suitable for framing," it is so good!
