Hello, just wanted to show you what I've been working on. My mom's 80th birthday is April 30th so I've been working hard to get this done so I can get it mailed on time. You can see my "fancy" display board (which is a queen size bed that is standing upright) when my sewing/guest bedroom is just a sewing room. I pinned white flannel to it so the colors would show true. Next weekend I hope to get it quilted. Most of the quilt was from a quilt designed by Linda Jenkins called Sunny Days Quilt. I did my borders different than the pattern. Mom's favorite color is yellow.

Just beautiful. Your mom will enjoy looking at it and knowing you made it just for her. I made my Mom one for her 88th BD and hung it so she would see it every day and she loves it. It's a tree with leaves that had her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildrens names on them.

It does take up a little more space in the room to use the bed for a design board, but I don't want to store it out in the shop as I'm afraid that mice would get in it. At least I am able to use it & it works pretty well. I safety pinned the white flannel to it & everything sticks to the flannel pretty well.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone!! :D
