Beautiful! Beautiful! Beautiful! Love your purples. I have that pattern but I don't think mine would come out as pretty as yours. Lucky friend-I bet she will absolutely treasure it.

"Shakespeare In The Park" I love the pattern, no matter what color or combination. I have not made the quilt, but have been part of a work-party to make the quilt for a raffle. Your purple quilt is beautiful.

made two "shakespeare in the Park" quilts years ago in red and gold--matching queen size quilts or Xmas presents for my supervisor (they shared the position). I got one done and was working on second one and ran out of the background fabric. Luckily, family members took me all over town til we found a store that had some. Nothing like having two daughters and a son besides myself scouring the store for an elusive piece of fabric. Once found I bought what they had left on the bolt even though I only needed a yard or so. wasnt taking any chances
