Default July Jubilee

This is a Venice Rose from Norah McMeeking's book Bella Bella Quilts. I started it several years ago and kept putting it away for awhile. It is paper piecing and each wedge took me an hour to do with much tacking down, cutting, sewing and back to cutting, tacking, sewing again with each wedge having 18 pieces and there are 40 wedges. It was an up and down process so I did get my exercise. I have named it July Jubilee as I am so happy to have finished the top. The center is Marti Mitchell's Sunburst templates. I have to give my daughter Carrie the credit for the fabrics. She has such an eye for color and I love how it all came together. Now to get the batting, backing all pinned and finish the final process. Thanks for looking. Oh, and our kitty Mota is admiring it in the corner.

Wow! It came out great! I bet you are so glad you hung in there with it and proud to be finished at last!

Oh my! That looks challenging! You did a great job. I bet you're glad it's finally done. Is your kitty the "quilt police". Inspector Kitty! haha

Beautiful! Last year my LQS had that pattern in a pre-printed panel and it was pretty but yours is spectacular!

I think Mota is trying not to get dizzy by looking directly at the center. You made such a pretty quilt. It looks like it would have took such a long time. I really like the colors.
